I haven't posted in a little over a year. Well to update everyone on the story so far: I got a job last year, I have been working on a few art projects and photos. I also broke down and got a twitter https://twitter.com/#!/BarclayPhoto

I have a blogger which i update more then livejournal.
http://barclayphoto.blogspot.com/

I also have a youtube channel but I will not post the link to it because I haven't posted any videos yet.

I work all the time making money to do nothing but paying bills. I wish I could just get away and never need money or owe any money. I pay all my bills on time so when do I get a break? When do I get a chance to enjoy my life and not worry about how much fun costs. So yup that is the problem that I have been dealing with for the past few months. :( I have been so preoccupied with all that and trying to not freak out too much about getting promoted that I have had little to no time to myself, to work on my many art projects, or to relax and have fun.

Any tips or ideas would be good. If anyone knows how to relax when they are stressed out please let me know. :)

2012!

music: Haunted Mansion soundtrack

I had a really cool idea for something to do for 2012. I don't really believe that the world will end in 2012 but I know a lot of people do. I have a way to spend the end of the world...At the Happiest Place on Earth! Disney World!!! That is where I will be Halloween 2012! Come ride the Haunted Mansion ride with me!

What a way to spend the end of the world! :D and If the world doesn't end...then what a grate way to spend Halloween!!! :)

I wonder if the park will have a end of the world party? or cheaper tickets?

I'm pricing the trip and starting to save up now. :D

Leave me a comment on what you all want to do in 2012. Will you party?, Will nothing in your life change? Do you think the world will end or not? If it does I want to go out having fun. :D

~EDIT Nov.08,2010:~
Minor change of plans. I might go in September 2012 not October 2012. {one of the many off season dates.}

The first time I went to Disney World was April 1985. I have been to WDW about 6 times in all. {2012 will be #7}

Something I found out today: Epcot opened October 1, 1982. I'm one month older then Epcot. :p Thanks to YouTube for making me feel old yet again.

Love {the route of all evil}

mood: bitchybitchy

I'm sick of men! They are just not attracted to me. I don't understand. Am I too short? am I too big? Are my eyes to green? or do I give off this vibe that I don't like people? {I don't think I do.} I make friends easily...so why don't guys come up to me? or ask me for my number? I think I should just stop looking for love and start looking for "Sugar Daddy". I am really starting to think that love is not real...there is only sex. I just don't understand...and no I don't want pity or the old "you'll find someone" lines that I always hear...which is total crap. I had a guy friend once that told me that he liked me but he waited so long to tell me that I just didn't see him like that and it kinda felt like he felt sorry for me...so that made it worse. :( Maybe I should just be alone...maybe its better that way. If I wanted to be hurt...I would pick a fight.

eat, pray, love

I just saw the movie "eat, pray, love" tonight. Liz lived my dream. I have been feeling stuck, drained, bored and sick of my life here for a longtime now and I have always felt that just traveling the world would solve all of my problems and I would stop feeling drained of life. Maybe I would find myself and an inner calm in all that time too.

I wish I had the funding Liz had to do that. {That would be one of the worries I would like to forget about.} NO SPOILERS but I want to go to Bali and meet a hot Brazilian man. I guess you have to find yourself before you find "Mr. Right".

"Eat, Pray, Love" I love this movie, it was sweet and funny. I am looking forward to reading the book.

Sick of school

I'm thinking about dropping out of school and getting a job or two so I can save up and travel...which is what I wanted to do all along. I am just sick of school draining me of all my money and I feel like I have nothing to show for it. Yah I learned a lot but all the photos I take are for class, not for me. They are not images I feel like taking but images I have to take for an assignment.

I just don't feel like working this hard and getting nowhere. I also need money. I am always broke thanks to school. Every cent I get ends up going to school or equipment. I would not mind the equipment so much if I had time to save up and get the stuff I wanted. :(

I am also sick of english class. Why do we have to take these classes in high school if we have to take them again in college? I should have gotten extra credit for sitting through classes I did not want to take in both high school and college.

I have turned capitalist...time is money and I need all the money I can get.

Viacom's lawsuit against YouTube! part 2

Viacom should answer these questions! Why are they hiding? If this was legitimate claim...why are they not telling us everything????? I would like to know if I'm going to be sued just for watching clips on youtube. If just watching clips is wrong then maybe watching Viacom owned programing is wrong.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/19/technology/19youtube.html

If anything YouTube users are promoting Viacom programing. I understand copyrite... what I don't understand is why they want to sue YouTube. The toys are another matter. That is a diferent department. I am glad that my favorite tv channels are not owned by Viacom.

I'm scared and I don't post videos on YouTube. I love YouTube. I find new bands, movies, and tv shows thanks to clips other users post on YouTube. YouTube has a following of millions of people. I can not believe that Viacom would risk loosing all that money over a lawsuit. I will be keeping an eye on this suit with an update on who won and what other people are doing to get the word out. Please comment and tell me what you all are doing. Contact Viacom let them know that sewing the people they market to is not right.

Viacom and MTV have backed off about wanting user viewing history. The lawsuit is still on.

A project of destruction

Oct. 20th, 2009 | 08:21 pm
location: tennessee

music: Watching TCM

I was wondering around Waldenbooks the other day when I came across a strange looking book. It was a black notebook with a brown spine. On the cover the tital of the book was "WRECK THIS JOURNAL" by Keri Smith. With a tile like that I had to flip through it. I picked up the strange journal and started to flip through it. Inside each page had different instructions for you to follow to wreck the journal. As you can tell I took on the project of destroying the journal.

I started the day I got the book. I tosed the book on the floor and kicked it around a bit. Than I started to crack the spine,doodling on every page and as I got ideas I fliped to the back of the book I saw a page that said "Write a list of more ways to wreck this journal." and it listed numbers 1 - 12. So far I have 10 ideas listed. The most fun I think I have had so far was when I followed the " tie a string to the journal. Go for a walk, drag it." I used a pice of lime green duct tape and taped a long pice of string to a page and took the book for a walk...laughing all the way. How often do you take a book for a walk?

I am still working on the book. I think it will be an on going project. Its just to much fun to stop. From child hood we are told to be careful with books, don't miss treat them. With this book you can do whatever you want with out being scolded.

Pictures will be posted documenting my progress.

We caught the mouse...well one of them. My roommate put it in a baggie and put it up on the RA's office door with a note. One of the RAs came to are door and said he had to file an in incident report becouse of the mouse on the door. Maybe something will get done. {Wishful thinking} I sent an email to the RA and to the housing department with pics of mouse shit and signs that are kitchen was not cleaned like we were told it would be....They did nothing. I got an email back letting me know that they got my email and that it was very important to them and that they would get back to me soon. {Lies!} For as much as me and my roommates are paying for this place we need something. A refund on rent {which I know will never happen} ...something.

The Black Plague...thats all I'm saying.

I'm going to send the email to housing again...this time with the pic of the mouse in the bag on the RAs door. Lets see if they respond this time.

If they don't respond by May 1st I'm going to report it to the California Department of Public Health.

Looks like we are not the only ones.

Prop 8 protest City Hall March 5th

Mar. 6th, 2009 | 03:52 pm
location: San Francisco,CA
mood: artisticartistic

I went down to City Hall yesterday to take pics of the Prop 8 protest. For those who don't know Prop 8 is a bill that was passed in the presidential election here in San Francisco to stop gay marriage. The protest was to repeal the law so that they could get married.

My personal beliefs side of me said sure I'll go down and protest and the photographer side of me said PICTURES!!!

I got some dirty looks from the Yes on 8 people but none from the No on 8 people. hmmmm... could this be saying something about the people that voted Yes??????? Maybe they just didn't want a picture of them surrounded by gay people?

Take a look...Collapse )

Remember those super hero valentine's cards you gave out as a kid? Well me and my roommates got some with spiderman,iron man,the hulk and wolverine and they all say something different. We decided to pass the love around the building by putting them up on all the doors. So we woak up early and ran around the building with tape,sharpies,and the valentines {with suckers on them} and taped them up. We signed them Love 309 or Room 309. {I put Love 309} We put more on the rooms we knew people in.

This is how it looked.

The Thanks started showing up on are door :)Collapse )
